I love shooting and editing weddings. I once delivered a video to the father of the bride and he said "if I wasn't smoking a cigar, I would hug you. Thank you so much. You are a talented artist"....and he hugged me anyway. This is why I love doing what I do. Obviously I want the bride and groom to love their wedding film, but when the parents love it too, it means a lot.
I have two daughters and one of my favorite parts of the wedding is listening to the father of the bride give his toast. I love seeing and capturing that emotion. I can't help but think that one day that will be me up there giving a heartfelt toast and I realize how important a moment that is for the bride and her father. Hopefully my daughter hires a great wedding videographer.
When I shoot a wedding it is really important to me. It's not just another job. I take a great deal of pride in what I do. I give each wedding the personal attention that it deserves, and I think that reflects in my work. If I didn't love what I do, I wouldn't be doing it.
